Blanca Roach, a young woman with terminal brain cancer, arrives in Oakshire to search for her birth parents. After a night of drinking, she ends up in a hotel with a handsome, wealthy man named Matthew Grant, the CEO of Empire Group. The next morning, Blanca discovers that the jade pendant, a precious heirloom from her birth parents, is missing. Matthew has taken it and demands to know its origin.
